What protocols is WengoPhone based on ?

WengoPhone software is based on SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) protocol. As SIP is a standard protocol, WengoPhone can be used with other SIP providers.

Is WengoPhone in its final version ?

WengoPhone is under permanent development to offer you always more features and quality.

There are currently three types of WengoPhone : WengoPhone Classic, WengoPhone NG and WengoPhone for Firefox.

I use my computer behind a NAT network, will WengoPhone work ?

WengoPhone should works on a natted network. As behind a natted network every single computer has the same public IP adress, WengoPhone will use different ports for each WengoPhone running over the LAN.

But inside of an office network where they're might be a firewall or a proxy. WengoPhone may or may not only work using http tunnelling, depending on how restrictive are proxies and firewalls mentionned above.

Is the source code available ?

es, WengoPhone is free software, you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License. WengoPhone is based on some open source libraries such as :
